Nice pic. I wish I can get someone to take a cool pic of me when I'm riding. Ughh, its sucks being the only one that knows how to use camera functions properly in my family. Plus you have to have an "eye" for taking good pictures. Whoever took this definitely has this.

I hate being the only person I know that has any sort of photography skills ("skills" being a loose term). Means the only halfway decent photos I'll ever get are the ones I take myself, of a stationery bike.

Meh, I like the full-bodied rolling shots as in the OP.
Maybe some time down the road when I'm a bit more comfortable w/taking my eyes off the road and chancing dropping something rather expensive to be destroyed, I'll give the ol' self-portrait thing a try. And even then, it'd have to be my wife's P&S camera. I don't think I could pull off the quick snapshot with my DSLR, nor would I even contemplate the thought. Hell, I'd have fun going for a photo shoot of someone riding their motorcycle while I'm riding around in a car, just need someone willing to drive me around and a rider willing to let me follow them around. |

All the pictures I took were with cheap Sony or Cannon small digital cameras operable by one hand, that do not exceed $150 to purchase. Auto-focus functions for small cameras are pretty advanced these days.
If you can observe traffic flow to allow yourself a window of a few seconds, it is not difficult to reach into a tank bag for a camera and snap pictures while riding. |
