AAAAAAAH that hurts to watch!
He should have been wearing gear though. would have saved a lot of road rash... I think this is a good example to see how every piece of gear is useful!

and this is why I don't ride without gear... Obviously the gear wouldn't have saved him from that accident, but his injuries will be severely less...

More important than road rash, gear would have prevented his ankle from snapping like a toothpick under the weight of the bike.

Yes I agree. One thing I noticed right away was how his shoe came off. Even a basic motorcycle boot would have stayed on.

Speaking of gear, do you take passengers if you can't lend them some gear? I have in the past but recently I've been reconsidering giving rides unless we both have gear...
