My next farkles

So lately I have been seriously considering a zx6. I sat on one today for a few minutes just staring at it imagining what it would be like to actually ride in this very very different position compared to the ninjette. I decided it would be a better idea to just get some clip ons to see if i would like it instead of a new bike.

clip ons: http://www.ebay.com/itm/230857639696...84.m1438.l2649

grips: http://www.ebay.com/itm/370658796268...84.m1438.l2648

bar ends: http://www.ebay.com/itm/150904431985...84.m1438.l2648

What can i say? i love green

I've been considering doing this as well! Though i think I would also get rearset adjusters or new rearsets in addition to the clip-ons.

Rearsets are very tempting, because sometimes I feel like I'd be happier/more comfortable with my feet further back for long distances on the highway...

Are the clip-on's to make you happier with the 250? or Just to see if you'll like the position on the supersport since they're cheaper than a new bike?

This.

With rearsets + clip ons, your whole body rotates forward. With just clip-ons, you're only folding yourself up more. The difference is significant.

You don't need to pop for full-bore rearsets. The rearset adjuster plates do the same thing.

@Malicious Logic its mainly just to try it out and see if i like it. just sitting on a SS in a dealership just cant replicate the actual position as much as riding one.
@adouglas ive never had a problem tucking long distances with the stock bars and rear sets so i think ill be fine being scrunched up with just clip ons for now. i ebayed rear set adjuster plates but nothing came up

Ah, ok. I kinda got mine for the same reason. Not sure how close it is to a supersport, if at all, but atleast it's a start.

Does the cap pop off? I think I remember something about the Woodcraft bars being buzzy because they don't have bar ends. You should be able to use other bars with them though... I think

I had woodcraft clip ons and yoshi rear sets on my 250 and i was really pleased with the change in seating position. Im 6 ft so it was a little uncomfortable on the 250 stock because my knees hit the body line on the tank. The rear sets and clip ons totally fixed that. Felt like the seating position of my friends 04 r6. I found its still slightly more upright than something like a gsxr (practically feel like im laying on the bars on that bike) but its much much better. I would say deff go for it.

i know you all have been so eagerly waiting for an update so here it be:

got the stuff put on tonight, took about 3 hours with my friend helping and man it sure is different. This must be user error but woodcraft was suppose to have no interference with anything right? well i got hella interference like everywhere. Ill post some pics tomorrow and you guys can tell me how i did something so obvious so wrong.

@Old_Lemon did you get the clip-ons figured out? I just bought a pair off of Guevara as well as some rearsets. I'm going to wait and install everything together.

well due to some things happening i havent been able to work on it, but i think i put the bars too straight out towards the sides of the bike instead of more inward towards the tank.

And the bars are not even at full lock in these pictures

Looking good. You think it is worth it to take it to a shop to install?

depends how much they will charge you. it took my friend and I about 3 hours or something cause neither of us had done something like this before, my shop quoted me 250$ cause they also never done this before on a 250 and didnt believe it would work lol, so i said screw that. But ive heard people getting charged like 50$ and for 50 id let the shop do it
