carb sync question

Ok wanna make sure I got this down before I do it tomorrow.. I've read the diy but just want to make sure..lol I got the bottles and hoses all hooked up, lines on the carbs are all setup.. basically I'm gonna warm the bike up, shut it down and hook the 2 vac lines up to the bottles. once started I'm gonna see the water go to one side or the other and if it does I'm going to adjust the screw until the water in the bottles stay even in both of them? Once it is shut it down and it will be synced?

if everything is setup right with your sync setup, yes, that's the procedure.

Ok cool..I never checked it when I did the shims, but now after rejetting and all I wanna make sure its running as good as possible. Can you feel when the carbs are out of sync by riding it or just periodically check it with the rig setup?

once the carbs starts to get way out of sync, you can usually hear the engine rpms vary at idle at a rhythmic rate and the tach needle will dance around a bit instead of being rock steady.

yeah it was out of sync.. as soon as i started the bike all the water pulled from one glass into the other.. the adj screw is very touchy, i turned it like a 1/4 of a turn and all the water went to the other glass..loL! took like 1/8 or even 1/16 adjustments to get it balanced out right.. all is snyced now though
