and it says "The main differences are an aluminum perimeter frame, adjustable levers, adjustable rear preload, totally different bodywork and instruments, much larger front brake, integrated turn signals, and EX500 37mm forks. " hope that helps |

well since the wiki says the ex500 and the zzr250 are the same forks, you could like cross reference the forks in a parts catalog of both bike, same part # = same part

ya i been looking at parts fiche also but sometimes they change the pn for suttle differences even color can make a item a different part number. i have a work college with a second gen 500 parts bike that will sell me the forks so i can take them and check if they work with all the zzr bits.

Even if the forks aren't identical part numbers, who cares? They're both the same OD and they're both damper rod forks. Just swap the springs, change the oil (and fill to spec for the ZZR), and you're good to go.
Knowing Kawi, they're identical forks, just maybe different spring rate/oil thickness/oil height. |

so for anyone that finds this thread ignore all the internet geniuses that have posted and i can tell you only thing that the 500 and the 250 zzr share in common is fork diameter and maybe spring rate. now what is different..
the zzr runs a full floating rotor that is larger so the brake will not mount as it seems the ears on the 500 fork are not in the same place as the 250. the front fender mounts are totally different the damper rod bolt is a m8 on the 250 and a m6 on the 500 the top plug on the 250 is thread in not held with a clip (no biggie) |
