Water in speedo case, help?

So, my bike has an odd problem. There is water inside the digital speedo. (Pic attached)

I've never taken it apart or removed it, never washed it with anything more than a dry, soft cloth, bike is factory new to me with only a bit over 600 miles put on it. It's only been in the rain once, in a small shower for about 10 minutes while I was riding home.

Any ideas what to do here?

Take it back to the dealer under warranty and get a new one.

Would the warranty cover that? I figured the warranty was just for engine mechanics.

Nope. Should cover gauge replacement, failed electronics, failed anything too. Factory warranty for a year or XXXX miles, right?

Yeah, a 12 month warranty from time of purchase. I take it that any Kawi authorized dealership with a service dept will do this for me so long as I drop off / pickup the bike?

Never had automotive warranty stuff before, so I'm in the dark a bit here.

Call them first so they have the part on hand. Gonna need your VIN, purchase date, etc. Probably want a picture or for you to come by so they can look at it and then make an appointment.

Then yeah, should be a drop off/pick up situation.

It is an odd problem indeed.

Call a dealer and ask; as stated above, it should be covered.

Great advice all, thanks! Gonna call my local dealer in the AM and get this set up ASAP. Hopefully they can just fix it and don't need to replace it all together, hate having to add miles on DMV slips and such. :/
