I'm getting quotes for 250/500/50 with uninsured/underinsured comprehensive and collision. Progressive was letting me add bikes for super cheap because the 1000 was so ****assed expensive, the 250 with them is still like $600/yr by iteself, the pregen with comprehensive was like $150/yr

The ninja is actually a really nice bike regardless of its displacement

Statefarm $284/mo

AAA is winning by a landslide with $100/mo

That still sucks though

Small potatos. Just barely qualifies as a gateway drug on the bigger-is-better progression.

Real progress is defined by the Triumph Rocket III Roadster (For extra impact you can say you own a "Triumph 2300RR").

haha

i myself am interested in ninja 1000 or zx6r (07-08 model? those mean looking headlamps with undertail exhaust )

but problem with zx6r is that it MIGHT have issues with spares as it's an old model which isn't under production?

Wow this bike is a lot slower than I was expecting. I could not even go 0-60 in under 3 seconds, very disappointing.

Went out to my favorite route today taking a pace slower than I've ever gone. Even so I got a little too spirited and the rear slipped a bit so I backed off, still don't have 100mi on these tires yet. Did the entire thing in 6th gear and still had so much more power than I needed. Can't wait until I get this thing fully broken in!

Thar she is

Ok I just got my insurance all set up. Apparently I can't remove the crashed 250 from the plan because I have an open claim on the underinsured, so that is stuck on my policy basically until I'm 100% healed in a year or so. Neat.

So for 2011 Ninja 250, 2011 Ninja 250, 2012 Ninja 1000 with 250/500/100, Collision, Comprehensive and Uninsured/underinsured
and 2007 Ninja 250 with 250/500/100, comprehensive and Uninsured/underinsured
I am paying $2300/year

Yeesh, and that's with $1000 deductibles on everything (as required by AAA for sportbikes)

But the funny thing is that this quote for 4 bikes is LESS THAN any quote from any other insurance company I received for JUST the 1000

Even though I feel like I'm overpaying and I don't like the $1000 deductibles, AAA is by far the best deal in town. They seem to be extremely competitive on bikes that tend to net higher premiums so I guess I'm stuck with them

This thread is not dead; not if I have anything to say about it.

Anywho, wheres the video you promised? How would you feel if you jumped straight to that from a 250?

I actually just took a video thats probably a little over an hour, I'll set it as time lapse and post it and most likely I'll do a walk around vid tomorrow. I just feel like a ****ing retard talking to myself.

I don't think I would have had a problem going straight to the 1000. I opted for the 650 instead because the dealer its just going to be too much and I should think about a 650 instead. And with the dealer downselling me I figured well hey he's losing out on some commission just so I don't loop my brand new bike. The 1000 certainly would have been more difficult to handle than the 650 but I don't think it was out of my league. With both the 650 and 1000 I always rode in the highest gear possible when I first started on it just to minimize ****** throttle control.
