it fit funny.
how does a motorcycle jacket supposed to fit?
the sleeves are at right light but the shoulders look wide.
does anyone have any pics with the jacket on?
I'm 5'4'' and 140 lbs. this jacket is a small.
does it look big? or that's how it's supposed to look.
thanks.

Nice jacket man. If you hadn't said it felt big I wouldn't have guessed, so I think you're ok. Have you taken it riding yet?

Thanks.
No. Unfortunately, the bike is still at my bro's house.
I'm waiting for the title.
I got it for $69.97 + $8 for shipping on motosport.com.
The shipping was super fast.
I ordered on the 30th and received it on the 2nd.

It is my experience that jackets should be a little on the tight side not to big. Otherwise it will slip and slide when you need it to stay and protect what it is supposed to protect.

It is going to look a little wide at the shoulders because of the padding there. I guess as a lady I am used to padding there.

The jacket looks like it fits you. It is supposed to be kinda short, above the hips and the shoulders look wide due to the pads.

Thanks all.
I'll keep it then.
I can't exchange for a smaller size anyway cuz that's the only size they have left over.

The jacket looks big to me but you'll grow into it. Why did you get pink? You might catch some heat from other riders if you wear a pink jacket (that's too big) on a little bike.

You want the arms to be long but the body to be tight so it doesn't flap in the wind (or breeze in the case of a pink jacket).

It looks a little loose, but it also looks like you haven't adjusted the snaps on the arms and the velcro on the waist. Once you do that it should fit better. If a jacket is a just a little large you can always wear a sweatshirt under it to make it fit better, something you can't do if it's too small. It will also fit better when you're actually wearing it on the bike and you're streched out more.

bottom of jacket at waistline is good, cause you dont want to show the belly like some of the chick shirts Ive seen, especially in hot pink. But it looks OK size for you.

Man some people didn't even read your posts (referring to people talking about pink). It looks like it fits fine. Like Wayne mentioned, adjust the snaps/buckles to tighten it down.

I just spoke to my gf.
She says the jacket looks big.
So, I took her advice and decided to exchange it for something else.
Called up motosport and exchange it for the alpinestars.

AS_RhomaDryStrJkt.jpg

from the pic, it looks like alpinestar has a slimmer cut.
there's one problem though.
the only color available is blue.
I ordered a red helmet from a different site.
That means I will have to exchange the helmet for the blue.

Thats why I like to try them on at the dealership. Of course I have to travel a ways to get there but its worth it to try it on and take it home that day.

You're going to h3ll.

I liked it, Tin, but I agree. A bit too large.

I went to 2 different dealers and the smallest they have is a MD. I would still have to order from them. Hopefully, the other jacket I ordered from the other site will fit better.
Now, I have to pay to ship this jacket back for the alpinstars.

Don't get pink this time. Pink always makes your ass look big.

Is that the Alpinestars Rhoma model? That's the jacket I've got. I'm 173cm, 65kg (about 5'8", 144lb) with a slim build, and the Alpinestars jacket in size M is a bit loose on me. If you're 5'4", then try size small first.

The other bad thing about a motorcycle jacket being too loose, is that is blocks your rear view. I drove with my normal street jacket once and I had a much easier time looking over my shoulder, and I could see quite a bit more in my mirrors.

I'm not too satisfied with my jacket, because it doesn't fit me all too well. If it did, it'd be awesome. But I think it would've been more sensible to either buy a comfy touring jacket which goes down to my thighs, or get a leather sports jacket which fits my slim chest.

Remember how big padding was in the 80's.lol

Your in NJ. It gets pretty cold. A larger jacket is ok with a hoodie under. Mine is too big too. At the end of last season it came in handy having the larger jacket considering I could wear an insulated hoodie under it and have all the armor in the right places. It sucks now that its warm again it seems im swiming in it sometimes. check my album to see what i mean. It doesnt feel safe. Think I'm gonna pick up another for the warmer days.

Yes, that's the alpinestars rhoma.
I did order a small.
I would have ordered xsmall but the smallest size is small.
I think it will fit better than the red one above.

Maybe alpinestars is not for you. Try some other brands.
Don't give up yet.

late to the party but, nice hot pink jacket!!!

yeah, cortech jackets are a size larger than they say. i am 5'9" 193 pounds. i ordered a large and that thing was too big for me. i sent it back and got a medium. i can't remember the last time i wore a medium shirt or jacket. but it fits much better.

buy your jacket from a store if possible. alpinestars jackets are the opposite of cortech. they fit tight. on me anyways. i had to go a size up when i was trying them on at the store. same with their gloves.

also, be careful with the alpinestars jacket because if they don't have bicep and forearm adjusters, and your arms are a bit small (i don't know if they are), then the elbow protectors may flop around. different models fit differently, but that is what i noticed at the store.

edit: btw, the thing i love about the cortech is the value. also, they have all that reflective piping that really works great.

I agree. Cortech offers the best bang for the buck. I really like the one above. alot of ventillation.
What about FieldSheer?
I also ordered this one from motorcyclecloseout.com
this jacket, my helmet and gloves should be home today.
I can't wait to try them on.
