Blue or Green

Put down a deposit on an '09 250 this morning before I flew out of town for some meetings. Dealer has a blue one in the showroom and a green one out back ready to put together. I can pick up either when I return Saturday.
What color should I get?
I'll forewarn you that I'm partial to blue but Kawasaki green is "the color".

I think you will find that I as well as others on this thread will tell you that blue is the best and "fastest" color.

No no no sorry Rick you have it wrong...

Blue is the sexiest... Leave the arguments up to the green, reds, and blacks as to who is the fastest...

Green has been proven time and time again to be the fastest. There is a reason Kawasaki's race bikes are green. Plus Green is the only 250R to have the unlockable 7th gear capability.

Hold out for red. The reason they don't have a red one in stock is they sell those as fast as they can uncrate them. Impatient people end up with either green or blue...

Isn't the black and white just vinyl? Can't you just peel it off? - Nick

Why would you want to pay extra just to have to peel it off later?

Yeah, it definitely sucks to pay more to just peel it off but if you dead set on a brand new green one, it might be worth it to some people.

Jody there's lots of red ones left in canada. Nobody wants them for some reason. They just sit there at the dealership floor for weeks crying please buy me.

I never liked the red when looking at it on Kawi's website. It looked like...too much red? When I saw it in person though...very sexy.

I love all the colors. Obviously I have my preference, but something you might want to think about is if you really dig matching helmet-jacket-gloves, you'll have a much wider selection buying blue (between blue and green).

I would personally go with black.
If blue and green is all they have then I would go with green.
blue is sexy but the color itself is too common. on the other hand, green is more rare.
The reason I went with black is because black is more sophisticated and black can go with anything. I don't have to worry what color helmet, jacket or gloves I have to get because whatever color I get will go well with my black bike.

You're right about gettng a good look at the colors in the showroom. That blue looks mighty fine and although red is the national color on the flag blue seems to fit better here in the North. Besides it's my wife's favorite color and that makes things a bit easier.

You have all your mental faculties fully intact, right? With that in mind, how could you even consider anything but Red?

I wear gray and black gear with my blue 04. Of course it's a completely different blue, but still. I'm going with a blue and silver theme on my car so I figured why not do the same for my bike?

Blue FTW!

BLUE is by far, FASTEST, SEXIEST, and MOST INTERESTING! The blues used on the new versions of the bike (including mine, even though it's an '07) are CANDY COLORS! So you don't just get a flat color, and you get the sexier one. There's a reason BLUE caught your eye first! It's just better than green from all angles and in all light, without being a flat, uniform, boring color!

Order of preference
1 Green other road users see you sooner so it’s safer.
2 Red not as noticeable as green
3 Blue even less noticeable than Red
4 Black not seen by other road users therefore the most dangerous.

Kawasaki is team Green.

If you get Blue you will feel blue (why did it get this color, I should have gotten green) everytime you ride it.

Besides, if you get blue everyone will think it is a Suzuki, if you get red people will think it's a Honda, and if you get black others will think you're on a Harley.

I was on the (cough* cough) other forum yesterday, and there was a guy who started a thread about how to remove the white protective tape that came on his green '09 ninja. Turns out, he ended up peeling off the white vinyl on one side of his '09 SE before someone clued him in that it was supposed to be that way.

For all the unBlue out there take no offense. It's just not easy being green

I'd avoid it because it's hard to keep clean. All those nasty people who own black bikes. Ugh. Maybe if we are all lucky they'll be hit by cagers putting on fingernail polish. One could only hope.
