Tail of the Dragon (multiday trip)
Hello all!! It's been a while but I missed everyone! I have left my 250 behind but still have my ZX6R!
Anyways, I am planning a multiday trip to Tail of the Dragon... Saturday June 11th until....whenever really! Probably at least 5 days, but the pace is dependent on how I/others feel! I am leaving from Chadds Ford PA and riding down via skyline drive and blue ridge parkway. I plan on making some stops along the way and exploring/drinking beer/having fun! I have some hotels booked already so you can stay with me or get a place for yourself as well. If anyone would like to make the full trip with me, or even join for partial segments in your area, let me know. It's about 1400 miles round trip from my area. I went last year by myself and had a blast, but this time would like some company! I have a SENA headset for communication so we can chat/get to know each other on the exciting trip. As far as riding style, I'm very cautious and go the speed limit + 10mph max. You won't have to worry about keeping up or anything... I'm looking to enjoy the trip and have a blast before going off to grad school! Respond here or PM me if you want to join! Costs are variable depending on where you want to stay/how long you want to go/etc. - Miles Prower

I would say if you are going down the blue ridge and like beer, that Asheville should be a stop. A great hotel for the price is the downtown inn and suites. And it's within walking distance of many of the fine breweries in Asheville. Burial, Funkatorium, Asheville brewing, and quite a few others

I know I need to do this trip someday, but I don't think this is the year as my bike isn't currently street legal
best of luck, have fun and keep the shiny side up I agree with @vertoben1 Asheville is an absolute gem and is worth the trip even without riding the tail for its history, beauty, and unquestionably top notch breweries

Yes! Staying in Asheville for sure. Have a reservation at the Grand Bohemian Hotel. Totally agree, so many awesome places for beer, art, and all around fun!!

Sounds like a good time! I'm in PA so I'd be on your way but I'm not quite ready for a multi-day riding adventure just yet.
An epic trip from PA to do the Dragon is on the bucket list though.

I do a lot of trips on my bike. Rode to Chicago from Philly for a 3 day weekend trip. Then a few down skyline and further. I'd like to also go to Nova Scotia, but that'll have to wait until after school.
