Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

So, anyone have plans for tonight? I've been married 10 years, so it's business as usual. I may buy her flowers

OK - what does it mean if both my wife and I just realized it was Valentine's Day when we saw Feb 14th on an email header when we traded messages earlier today? Does that make us old, geeky, or both?

LOL. I dislike buying unnecessary things. Flowers don't do anything and die after a few days. Are they really worth the $60 that florists charge on this one day when any other day would be $30? Valentine's is the Black Friday for florists, except in they get to charge more, not less for stuff. I checked into deliveries... They wanted to charge me an extra $5 just for delivery today. WTH? As if it's not enough guys already have to pay 2x the cost for flowers, they now get charged extra for delivery just for this retarded occasion?

It's a good thing I work near a Costco

My wife really REALLY loves flowers. So I send her flowers. She is making dinner for me tonight though. Porterhouse steak, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and chocolate brownies with vanilla ice cream on top for dessert.

First time in 8 years I haven't had to spend money on this overly commercialized holiday.

Enjoying every minute of it! I should go to the bar tonight and pick up on the lonely one's.

You know...I've received more flowers from girls than I've given. I gave a girl flowers once but I was trying to be ironic or something. I don't remember.

I am romantic, I am!

Ryan and I went out on Saturday night to a romantic, overpriced Italian place because we wanted to try something new, but it turned out to be less than impressive. It had a nice atmosphere, but the waiter and food weren't very good. Just goes to show we should have just gone somewhere we know we can get good food and service...aka Outback Steakhouse yummm

it makes you happily married. You don't need that one day out of the year to make each other happy, you obviously make her happy all year long.

its not about necessity...its about showing her how much you love her. its one day out of the year you can buy her a heart shaped chocolate...MAKE IT HAPPEN. I told Daniel (my fiance) not to buy me flowers, I agree, its expensive and dies...but I wouldn't mind chocolate.
