It's actually east of rhode island.

Distance is 11778 kilometers or 7319 miles or 6359 nautical miles

You're not looking hard enough!

If Rhode Island is "The Ocean State" is it really an island?

Yep, India, if you want me to be more specific, the land where a crisp 50rupee note(1$) will get you out of most petty traffic violations...

Looks like a nice ride. Maybe more of a summer ride (as I watch the weather moving in there).

So is it better on a 250 or 300?

Def. a summer ride. Spring and Fall here can be ludicrously cold (this is not predictable).

300 I would say, because I am guessing everything is better on a 300.

Thanks for the invite. Are you a DJ? If you want we could ride Monday or Tuesday and I'll show you the town (if you've never been to Daytona) before you have your show and the races start (Thursday). I was going to ride with Team Hammer at the track on Thursday but company from New England is showing up Wednesday so I have to be a host. There are a few good roads besides the numerous bars. If you want I can try to put a group together and we can do the tour (either around town or around the area).

I googled the show and I'm impressed. Who are you planning as guests from Daytona?

I think all those on the east coast of the states should have to count two states for every one. Us westerners have a mite more land to cover than y'all. Course, when I was back east and considering driving from Destin, FL to Slidell, LA (only 220 miles) I sure got some funny looks for that short 4 hour drive!

Let's see, NV and CA for the new ninjette. CA, NV, UT, CO, AZ, can't remember if we hit NM as we went through the Southwest on the old pregen.

Some of us have been through eastern and western states. Perhaps we should just count each western state as 1.5 states?

Better idea, for each state you get you add the sq. mileage of that state to your total, highest total wins!

Added TN on Friday and Saturday... the DRAGON
(now that's a twisty - 312 curves in 11 miles... intense... made the first run after dark with three other sport bikes.... the Ninjette held it's own against the big bikes, a 600 and two liter bikes... lose ground on the straights and catch up in the curves... a lot of curves sure helped)
4 states total
NC
SC
VA
TN

When I rode out to compete in the Vetter Challenge in Ohio this past summer I went through CA NV UT WY NE IA IL ID OH. From Ohio I rode to KY then added MS, KS CO to my list on the way home. Long rnge touring is not the Ninja's strong point but it definitely can do some traveling!

My buddy Alan Smith has ridden his Ninja 250 streamliner from coast to coast and to Canada( CA to VA). I'll try to find out how many states he has passed through, probably over 20.

6 days , the weather was pretty hot so even though we didn't ride very far each day ( ~ 400 miles ) it was pretty tiring.
