Rossi-Lorenzo

I just watched the Catalunya MotoGP. That was the best race I've seen in a long time. Yamaha against Yamaha with the team mates passing each other so many times in the last 3 laps I can't remember how many. I found myself screaming at the TV at the end when Valentino passed and won the race.

If this is a preview on Laguna it is going to be a funtastic race.

I remember being alot younger and always watching formula1 and never being that interested in motgp racing.

Funny how things change cause it's totally the other way round now. The race ending was awesome. So much overtaking. Loved it!

I just saw the recap on Speed a few minutes ago. Actually saw Rossi look down at the pavement, while he was leaned over in one of the turns, just like Alex's post mentioned!

Yea... I caught the replay on Speed earlier this afternoon. What a race! They seem so matched... then bang one would find that sweet opening and the lead would change.

It was a race yes and it was a classic chase but it's also a dance. In no other motorsport do you see so much movement by the rider.

Rossi is a brave man to pull a move like that in the last corner of the last lap. Great riders, great battle for 1st, great race.

Too bad Stoner was unable to keep up with the front runners with his 'illness'.

The Championship this year is going to be crazy!

... bad luck to Melandri.

I could watch this over and over. The last 2 or 3 laps are on youtube;

EDIT: Youtube link no longer works / Dorna pulled it

So how many of you riders are hanging their legs out for left turns? I noticed more and more MotoGP riders are each race.

I noticed a 3 way but no one named dun (are they 3 brothers?). It was Rossi, Lorenzo, and Stoner. Where are you getting your info?

Everyone is copying Rossi with the 'hanging the leg out' technique. Seen Stoner do it quite often...

LOL... "dun" is a noise I make. I guess it doesn't translate via interwebs.

Yeah, I also used to watch Formula 1. Now I only watch it when I'm really bored, and even then I usually don't watch the whole race because it's usually not every exciting. MotoGP, however, kicks ass!

I just happened to see this race and was amazed. Rossi just will not be denied. I don't follow racing much but enjoy Motocross on TV as you really can see them jockey for position. Also, each race is fairly short which is great for my short attention span.

Nascar ... don't see why its so popular in the States. Only good thing is the crashes, otherwise its cars going around in circles. But, being an Australian, GO MARCUS AMBROSE (the Aussie fella)!

Formula 1 makes me go to sleep!!
MotoGP is great either to watch it on TV and to go see the races at the circuits
(I'm in love with Rossi)
I also love to watch Superbike races, Ben Spies and Haga................

I think Rossi must be otherworldly. That guy simply defies description!

I thought Rossi had Lorenzo covered, & knew he was just pacing George, waiting till 3 laps from the end. I thought he'd pull away no problemo, but George kept him honest. Great racing!

I like calling him georgie-porgie, myself. What a fantastic race... Motogp.com has a video of the last 3 laps from the helicopter chasing them overhead, and it's breathtaking.

if Valentino = "The Doctor" then;
Lorenzo = "The Intern";
fi

Or maybe... "The Resident"?

I still like "Lorentho". Sounds so uhhhh, ghey. There, I said it. They stopped trying to pronounce it that way after about Round 3 last year.

Yes, I saw the same race. Best last 3 laps I've seen. I might have screamed, but not quite sure whom to scream for.
