The most evil bikers in the world
I don't know if this is off topic or not, but it has to do with bikes, albeit tangentially.
No, I'm not referring to fallen angels and such. I'm talking about what I've been seeing on CNN over the last few days, those troops of Iranian Republican Guards on bikes terrorizing the protesters. The only thing comparably evil might be the motorcycle Nazis in WW2. Only one saving grace about these axxhxles: they are NOT riding Ninja 250s. (Anyone know WTF they ride?) AM |

It bugs me too man. But really, what can we do aside from risk our own lives? Sometimes this is what must happen for a good thing to start.
Right now, there are a lot of people who know of Neda and with her death may come a better world. It's sad, but it's true. Think of how many bikers had to lose their lives before we got all of our saftey classes and our nice gear? Just the way the world turns. On a side note, I think they're some kind of yamaha enduro. From what I can tell at least.

All I can say is that you can opprress and keep people silent only for so long before they rise agaonst "the machine" of government and assert themselves.

from this article on bikes in iran used by "security" forces http://www.asharq-e.com/news.asp?section=1&id=17098
Motorcycles can also be used to indicate one's position in the hierarchy. For example, one riding a normal motorcycle is not in "advanced position in his organization" whereas one riding a modern, stylish motorcycle is likely to be a "party official." |
