I always pull over after toll plazas to wait for everyone. I let everyone pass me then just play catch up for a few seconds. It helps to get speed burst out of your system every once in a while

I work in a pretty big hotel (Castle in the Sand). Our rates are between $250-$320 a night that Saturday. But as of right this second, I have a little room that is open (its like our hotel little secret). Its only $99 a night. Its a small studio room with two twin beds, fridge, microwave, TV, bathroom. Its perfect if you want something cheap, and just a place to crash.

Anyway, if you want it, or if you have questions, call me asap, cause I dont know how long I will have it for. I will be at work til 4 PM. 800-552-7263. Ask for Andrei.

Ofcourse it helps that they make you practice all the tests within the BRC class atleast ten times .. I didnt figure it out till the end that it was the driving test.

When I did my BRC, We did have one guy who crashed his bike doing the sudden stop in the final test . he was one out of the twelve who didnt make it.. sucks to be him.

It's been a few days lol. Down and up rt 1 and 13 in beach traffic I've definitely been learning. I've already saved about 30 dollars in gas in 2 days of work. That's what's really driving me.

as for the whole BRC thing, congrats Jon!!
I sucked at the figure 8, and had to redo the emergency stop since I didn't go fast enough lol! But I managed to scrape through which was nice.

Same, in our class one lady dropped her bike after the emergency stop, we all felt so bad.

lol quitters never prosper.
The lady in our class was actually really good, better than me on the whole..I think she just had a fluke incident. We watched her try to save it, as she put it down in slow motion practically but she couldn't keep it from falling.

all i know is that i absolutely hated those cruisers..our ninjettes are a lot more comfortable, even though I can't really touch the ground too much.

So they brought us all back one by one and asked us all "What do you think you did wrong?" I jsut said I might have gone over the line once during the figure 8 and I don't know what they scored me on the 15 mph lean/cornering so I think I did a good job, but I didn't know. The instructor told me I didn't lose any points on anything and that I was the first one who got 100 on the written for him and passed the road test with flying colors... I was syked! I got my endorsement this morning but I couldn't ride because it's supposed to thunderstorm this evening.... I'm still syked! lol Called my insurance and got a lesser rate for taking the class too! So far it's a good day!

yay congrats! always a great feeling. I think I got a 85 or so...probably because I tried to drag knee on the cornering drill.. that and going for a stroll outside the box..ended up in target a few miles away before i finally finished the figure 8.
how much did you save, if i may ask? I got quoted directly with the endorsement and MSF so I didn't know the difference. ya stupid rain, made me not ride to work today. but that's ok because i think i want to go check out a new apartment complex this evening..need to move!

Ok, so, change of plans. My family deal at the beach got pushed forward, and I now actually have a time-frame where I need to be in OC.

I need to be in OC by 3:00, Saturday afternoon. Is this doable, or do I have to back out of the ride?

Miles,

I got 50/100/25 through progressive, with UM at minimum (15/30) (I know Jiggles, I got to bump this up) .

And with Comp and Collision, and PIP and Accessory coverage and Road Side, its about 19$ per month for me ... (so they gave me a discount for the BRC, Safe Driver Discount and Home Owner)

I took a quote to bump up the UM to higher limits, and the quote was around 26-27$ per month (roughly 330 per year).. will probably go for it after i compare with GeICO

Its not a Delaware thingy - if any, knowing how drivers are in New Castle, it should be higher..

Ofcourse I have been riding motorcycles for 18 years + .. but just not in the USA all the time..

My 250 was insured with Progressive as well.
I had full coverage 100/300/100 with a $100 deductible on collision and comprehensive.

My insurance was $180 a year. Its crazy how wildly it varies.

yeah thats crazy!!
they want something like $125 for uninsured and $270 or something for underinsured at 100K/300k.

state farm is cheaper for me at 550 a year, with only a 50 dollar comp deductible, 500 collision. i think i could live with that..

I called progressive and told them I wanted the most I could get I think it's 50k/100k for under/uninsured. 250 deductible, 50k person 100k Accident. I pay 25 a month or something. I also have 2 other cars from them, I'm 22 so hopefully it goes down.....

Congrats sounds like you had an interesting class. I took an all womens class and even though a few of us dropped our bikes no one quit and we all passed the class. I was kinda surprised.

I mean if you are gonna drop a bike it might as well be one of theirs (right!?!)

Oh and I also have progressive (must be a DE thing) and it's about $210 year pretty much full coverage with 250 ded. But I also get a bunch of other discounts too.
