Saddlemen Sport Seat

Hate to say it, but the Saddlemen Gel-Channel Sport seat doesn't fit. I just received mine purchased from Revzilla, went to put it on, and the two standoffs that are supposed to rest on the bike's frame and take most of the weight aren't long enough, they don't reach the frame. If I sat on it, the weight would be transferred to the tail plastics, and that would be bad.

It's definitely the 250 seat, there's a sticker on it saying so, and I followed the installation instructions correctly (not complicated).

It's a bummer, I was really hoping to have a seat that doesn't make my butt sore after an hour.

Darn! Can you shim seat so it touches frame?

Shimming is probably possible...but for almost $300 it shouldn't need shims. I'd be worried that they'd compress or slip out and let the seat hit the plastics.

Definitely contact customer service at Revzilla and the manufacturer. You might get the problem corrected, and you might help future buyers get a correct seat.
