blinker issues
Hi all!
So I have gone through about 7 10 amp fuses in the past 2 weeks. My blinkers are burning them out somehow. I dont know much about electrical stuff. My left side blinks really fast when I turn it on. Any thoughts?? |

Have you tried putting some new bulbs in and see if it still blows the fuse?

Short in the harness or the socket is my bet. Start off with a visual check for damaged wiring at each signal stalk.

Is the right side working ok??? And are the signals factory or integrated,or flush mounts??? If so check those connections first , sounds like something grounding out.

if rear, look uner the tail theres a grey and yellow wire (i think thats the correct colors) that runs into your turn signal, make sure that wire hasnt been ripped apart by your rear tire.. happened to me this weekend lol. |

thank you for all the replies....... All 4 lights turn on when I have a new fuse in. But the left side blinks very rapidly. They are the stock blinkers. And now sometimes they come on and sometimes they dont.......

do what i said, check the wires all of them.. make sure none have slices in them.. im 75% sure one has to have a slice in it and is causing it to ground out ..

check for corrosion in the blinker sockets. remove the bulbs and see if the socket interiors need a good cleaning. it should be absolutely clean in there.

I used a ground going to my left blinker for my 12v acessory outlet. Ever since my left blinker has blinked 2x faster than right side. It still works... i just have to turn faster when going to the left hehe
