Well, bought a ninja so now what?

A buddy has 03-05 (not sure) 250 in his garage. has 2300 miles on it so I said I would give him $500 and he took it. Needs a battery and has sat for over a year (tank was dry and carbs were rebuilt and he never took it to get carbs synced so it just sat, that is what he told me). He promised it ran when he parked it. Like I said it is a good buddy so I trust him.

Anyway sold my 08 R6 I bought new 2 years ago and have been dying to get back on two wheels. Look forward to reading and learning.

Cheers!

Congrats!

Hopefully you'll have a lot of fun on the 250! Riding a small bike instead of the 600s has definitely helped me focus on corner speed and drive out of the corners. There's a lot less to mask mistakes.

Welcome and congratulations!
Sounds like you got a good buy.

Congrats! It will need a little maintenance from sitting, but hopefully not too much.

After you do the maintenance, and have it almost ready to ride, be sure to put new tires on it. Even if they look OK, they are aged-out and in need of replacement at this point.

Be very careful. Even though you have ridden a R6 the ninjette is fastest in the corners. If you're not used to the g-force of a 250 in a corner you might have blood pressure problems when on twisty roads or tracks. I believe they hold the track record at the majority of tracks in the world.

Also, be aware of the ladies, they will think you're the coolest guy on two wheels.

I understand if your lady wants you to wear it. But who the heck in their sound minds would buy such a thing voluntarily?? And why such thing is being sold?? Is there such demands???
