Cost for dealer service?
How much is everyone paying for the 7500 mile services at your dealers? The place I bought my bike wants around 350 for just the valve service, plus the cost of the shims adjustment, so i started calling around. The highest price was aro und 500 for the valve adjustments and over 700 for full service. The second cheapest was about 320for the valves and no charge for the shims.
The cheapest, from a dealer, was 195 for the full service, plus parts. He said with parts it shouldn't go above 250. Is something amiss here? Feel like I'm walking into a trap. |

I got quotes $900 plus parts for just the valve job with nothing else at one dealer. I did the valve job myself, screwed up, brought it to a different dealer and they did the valve job for 200 on 45/hour labor.
