Race Fairing Heat Protection?

Hi everyone. I was looking at my Hotbodies race bodywork and noticed that it doesnt have the foam heat shield pads on the inside like the OEM fairings did. (i didnt expect there to be any though) but anyways i was just wondering if I have to put some in there, or if i dont... will the fairings melt? I have never ridden my bike with these on yet so i dont know the answer (and i dont wanna find out by melting them haha) Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

You can put some there if you really want, but your bodywork should be Fiberglass, which under normal (not on fire) circumstances, will not melt.

So, after some reading, I discovered that with some bikes, the enclosed bellypan leads to increased temperatures. It won't harm the fiberglass (for the most part), but it can cause the paint to bubble! So.. Having been said, it may be worthwhile to invest in some thermal protection to put on the inside of your fairings. Something like what is found here:

Perhaps even aluminum foil tape from Home Depot/Lowes will work.

Wait a minute, if these are race fairings then aren't you supposed to be going really, really fast? No need to worry.
