Cupertino, CA (5 June 2008) - The online round of the Ducati Superbike Concorso presented by Motorcyclist magazine, in which Ducatisti from around the country compete for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Italy, came to a conclusion at the beginning of this week.

The online showdown competition was comprised of 33 Ducati's, ranging from a 1973 750 GT to Borgo Panigale's latest Masterpiece: the 1098. The field was highly competitive and displayed an impressive variety of bikes - including two examples of the legendary Supermono.

In the end, Andrew Randazzo's immaculate 748 took top honors and the Grand Prize. The winners in each of the runner-up categories included:

Motorcyclist Ducati Passion Award for well-ridden Superbikes:
Keith Hale (1974 750 Super Sport) with over 100,000 miles

Bella Ducati Award for Superbikes of external beauty:
John Silverman (1993 Ducati Supermono)

Casey Stoner Award for current model Superbikes:
John Bragg (2007 1098 S)

Troy Bayliss Award for 1988-2007 Superbikes:
Rick Garrison (2001 996S)

Cook Neilson Award for Pre-1988 Superbikes:
Gary Patton (1986 750 F1)

Taglioni Award for Competition Superbikes:
Chris Boy (2005 999R)

The Super Sport contingent came out in full force for Alan Wilzig's 1999 900SS and guaranteed his People's Choice win with an amazing landslide-doubling the vote count of even his closest competitor.

There are three more rounds of the 2008 Superbike Concorso and three more Grand Prizes up for grabs. The next round will take place in Monterey California during the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix this July.
