TankSlapper Tank Protector

Hey guys,

I was about to order a 3M kit from them when I saw that they offer different kits for '83-'08 and '09

Before I email them, I just wanted to confirm with you guys that the tanks are same between the 08 and 09. And, thir listing is incorrect?

Yep... same bikes. Eddie if you don't mind, could you post some pictures of their products. For some reason I can't see the ones on their site at work.

I have one on my Versys. Worked great. Did have to elongate two of the cuts in the Versys kit to make it fit right, but other than that it fit perfect.

I might still have one for the 250 that I never put on.

Great product but I wish it wouldn't cloud up/turn yellowish after 5 years.

I have 3M on the Versys, but had the static for the 250 (never installed though, so I'm not of much help on that matter).

Why do they call it a TankSlapper Tank Protector? Cuz when you experience a tank slapper the tank is the last thing needing protection. LOL

Haha I thought of that too, but I figured they just decided it was a well-known motorcycling term that also happened to include the image of "slapping" the protector onto the "tank."

Was that a bit of a stretch? :P
