On friday I can meet only as early as 2:30 in boulder to ride there if you want to head down together, otherwise I'll just save my energy for IMI the next day.

Unfortunately I do from 1-2pm. That is a little to late to have to go back change clothes then head out to IMI.

Rocky Mountain MiniMoto is running a class that started out as a Aprilia 125cc & Ninjette 250 road race class, the attendance is a bit spotty so they are going to include 250 four stroke 250 Supermotos to run and I have sugested opening it up to DRZ 400 -S-SM-E. The 250 SM will likely steal the hardware but racing with the DRZ's is fun and competitive.

This would cost you $20 +$10 ea. gate for the whole race day

I myself want to eat DrZ for lunch

Come on all you ninjas get your nutz outa the fridge and mixit up!

I am not sure, to many karts on nice days that we have to share the track with, I just rode HPR Monday and Imi a couple weeks ago, i will likely ride canyons tomorrow with my very understanding wife. There is like a 30 min. practice in the am and then a heat race, and then 2 points races. When the program is over I believe you can continue to ride but it will be back with the public and into the kart rotation, at least that't how it used to work.

I'm not quite ready for the track on two wheels, plenty of four wheel experience at scr, ppir and hpr though. I'm down for street riding, meets and canyon runs at this point. Hope to get comfortable to the point of being able to track it someday.

IMI is very informal and not all that fast and makes a great venue for learning to ride that bike. Don't get me wrong I love canyon riding but it can be a tough teacher.

I hear you, being super safe. I've already done some canyon riding, I love it, it has taught me so much about riding the bike. I appreciate your input and opinion on IMI, I will definitely look into it now, thanks. What are the riding gear requirements?

Man every time I take apart my bike someone is ready to go lol. Well I am in the process of putting my clip ons on my bike. I might be down for a canyon ride saturday or next saturday. For IMI seems you need a helmet, but I'll let someone else say the requirements since I am ATGATT

Alright so I got the clip ons on and adjusted. So I was thinking about going for a canyon ride this saturday and track or canyon next saturday. Anybody want to join in? I'm not completely sure where I will ride so If anyone has a place then I'm down for that. Otherwise, I am thinking about taking boulder canyon rd then going down coal creek (peak to peak is a maybe).

So next saturday it was discussed that we would head to IMI for some tracktime. Possibly meeting up at noon. If you are close to DIA/ aurora we can ride up there to meet the others.

Also WTH is wrong with camry drivers? This is the third time someone in a camry nearly ran me off the road and into a guard rail or curb. I honked my horn and it still didn't matter 3 times now (the first being the worst of them all).

never been on a track before. Ive only been riding for a summer and a half actually so I don't know if im ready lol. I would love to do some street riding tho if anyone is interested.

people were saying earlier in the thread that IMI is pretty casual. Is it casual enough for someone with no experience on the track?

The two people in the pics on street bikes= first time on a track, they did fine. Best bet is hook up with a group. Look for posts like #258 and let them know you are a first timer and would appreciate some basic track instructions. People will be glad to show you some of the basics, it's pretty easy.

Did you get my pm? If you want to ride some twisties casually this saturday I am down for that and can come up to boulder. IMI is pretty casual and I've only been there once. I wasn't super skilled(still got much to learn) back then and let people pass if I noticed they were going quicker than I wanted to. In any case if you want to go this sat through the canyons let me know. I'll keep the pace down
