A little off topic, but why not rear ss brake lines? I found that I could feel my rear wheel getting ready to lock up under emergency braking situations with the increased feel of ss lines on the rear.

Next mod: Ditching the woodcraft 2 inch riser for a real clip on and hacking the **** out of the body work to allow clearance

any ideas for additional weight reduction for the scooter?

you don't need the radiator fan if you dont plan on sitting somewhere idling doing nothing for awhile. and you dont need the radiator surge tank. you can just run the surge line from the radiator to a lightweight catch bottle. i know some people who get rid of the rear brake line res. and just run a tube for the extra fluid (since who GAF about rear brake) you really don't need your gauges or any of that crap up front either. and if you get rid of that crap you can get rid of the heavy steal head frame stuff and replace it with some fancy aluminum crap

Take of your tire stem caps! That plastic cover between the battery and the seat! That pesky air box for some pod filters.

And always take a big dump before the big race!

I have seen a few people use those monster energy bottles for a surge tank... light and cheap!

rear brake still works fine, you are just making a smaller res. the fluid in the tube is more than enough.
and im no race master. master of half-assing things maybe. master of zipties maybe. but i suck at racing

actually, this is a good idea. cutting weight from the meat sack upstairs is sometimes easier than the metal box of parts downstairs

rear brake remains. the res is big bulky and heavy... its like 5oz! you can replace it with just a clear brake-fluid safe hose with fluid in it that has been capped to save weight.

This is my 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250 track scooter. It doesnt look like much but I have spent a good amount of time and money on this bike to get my start in the sport and it is pretty much as far from stock as I can get right now.

I am grateful to my friends who helped along the way. I would have destroyed this bike without your help or lose a limb. Robert (Mr. Moriwaki), Coung (Nutz), Joey, Alex, Nick (BaoPee) come to mind along with the guys at P1 racing who handled the suspension mods and jetting. And of course my gf for putting up with my reckless spending and track addiction. I am glad to be a part of the sport and I hope ya'll enjoy my scooter as much as I do.

Mods include: K&N air filter, MGP slip on, EBC HH brake pads front only, Galfer SS brake lines front only, Bridgestone BT003rs, 415 chain conversion from Aftermarket Cycles, Moty design 4cell battery, Woodcraft clips ons, Woodcraft rear sets, SSR exhaust bracket, woodcraft rear spools, race tech springs, heavy fork oil, emulators, SSR pre load adjuster, penske rear shock, full jet kit, tyga headers welded to MGP slip on, exhaust heat wrap, the fairings were dremeled to account for lowered clip ons

Exhaust wrap maintains hotter exhaust gases which decreases the gas density and that allows the exhaust gas to exit the system faster. This increases exhaust scavenging, pulling intake and exhaust gases through the system faster helping to lower intake temperatures: that equates to more hp

Sweet lookin ride. We're trying to convince some of our local group members that you can take a 250 to the track and still have fun.
