Best RPM range at speed...
So far, it seems like 7000 - 8000 rpms works well when I get up to speed...anybody find another range that works better?

depending on the type of riding, any rpm above 4k works for me.

When going uphill (particularly steep elevations), I like to be at 10k or higher. Regular roads - 7-8k when cruising

I did both my sprockets and cruise @ a bit above 8k to make 80mph.
Lost 2-5 mpg, lost 100+ top end. Slight downhill...seems no matter how slight...gives me 115. Any uphill at all requires downshift to maintain 80. Shift much less in city, about the same on twisties. Perfect for what I do. |

The Dyno Tells All
Look at a dyno pull of a ninja 250, the best power is bewteen 10,500 rpm and 11,500 rpm.
