----------------- Chaz Davies held off Jonathan Rea by under a tenth of a second at the end of the year's first timed session. There was a red flag early in the session due to oil on the track, but it caused less than ten minutes of stoppage. Xavi Fores was third quickest on the BARNI Ducati, ahead of Tom Sykes and Marco Melandri. Josh Brookes, the only wildcard of the weekend, was sixteenth quickest, almost two seconds off the frontrunners. Results:
