Not a bad product but I would check their accuracy against a pressure gauge. It only takes 1 minute per tire to check the pressure before going on a ride.

I'm going to stick with the old school for two reasons. 1) for the cap to give you a pressure reading it has to have the valve depressed at all times - you are one step away from a total loss of air. 2) In all the vehicles and bicycles I have had before I got my Ninja the only time there was a significant change in tire pressure (other than big temperature swings) was because there was something wrong, you just had to go look for it.
But that's just my $0.02

Check them while the motor is warming up every day, and use the SAME airgauge to check them. If you can get a small portable airtank that can hold 35psi that contains its own external gauge, you can compare your gauge to the one on the tank, split the difference and add or subtract appropriately from what your gauge reads so you have a consistent measurement. A good knock can change your gauge up or down as much as 1psi at a time.

added weight on stem
I don't know how heavy these are, but my bike came from PO with some of those little lights on the valve stems. I took them off first day, I don't like to have any added weight on the ends of the valve stems. It may not really be a problem, but I see it as another potential cause of failure.

Here with the colder temps, I have been -1--5psi between leaving work and getting ready to leave the next morning. Today for instance. I had 32/30 when I left the house after topping them up. While warm up was happening I had 29/26 in the rear, and when I got home, just to check I had 30/28. |
