Do both brake lines need to be stainless steel?

I'm looking to upgrade my front brake line to a Speigler SS one. Is it necessary to also have the rear brake line changed? I use my rear brake very little, usually only when rolling to a stop going slow enough where I could probably stop if I just put my heel down...

Well, you don't absolutely need it. In other words, it will not hurt you to have a stainless front brake line and regular rear brake line.

In my opinion, I would only do the front. The rear locks up pretty easy as is. Replacing it with SS would only make that worse. I'd say, just do the front.

As for the rear is not needed as mentioned here. It's more for looks.

Anyone know the length of their SS front line? I may see if I can do some transplant surgury using my SS front brake line from my D675 and use it on the ninja.

I would do this myself but unfortunately my girlfriend has my bike at the track and I am on limited mobility at the moment

I have the Venhill lines, good price and quality. And...you get both, use one or both.

Also, you can get the rear longer then stock if you want. Add 5 inches to the rear when you order and you basically have 2 fronts. Sell one here and make some of your $$ back

I didn't do my research and did this for my pre-gen. Turns out the rear brake line for a 2006 is 5" shorter than the 2008. Would this 52cm line with 06 banjo bolts be useful to an 08 owner?
