Stainless steel braided brake lines install
So I see there is a 2nd group buy on these. I'm wondering if any of the 20 people time around will be lookin for the same info as I am. So figured I could ask here and have it all on a single page
2010 ninja - just turned 2,000 miles So since the stock lines are coming off, what else can be done at this point maintenance wise? Brake fluid type/brand ? Synthetic ? http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=135590 Recommended pads for street performance NOT track? New pads probaby need new rotors , agsin any preferred brand / type ? http://www.ninjette.org/wiki/Which_brake_pads And anything else you can think of brake-related or additional custom hardware like ex: anodized banjo bolts I'd even consider a caliper swap if it's bolt-on ready Links to purchase these items would be great , so I can be sure I'm ordering from quality companies Thanks

That would be great. I'm fairly confident in the labor part of install, but I would also like to update/replace anything I can along the way too
So please feel free to list proven recommendations for any parts ex: pads, rotors etc... I want to have everything purchased and sitting at home for when the GB ends

Look at brembo, they have a set for the 250, €500 or so per caliper & you may want a new master cylinder too... Brembo front caliper part# 120B76520 http://www.carpimoto.com/EN/Brakes/F...-Set-P4-30.htm A Brembo M/C that the shop claims fits the 250R/300R http://www.carpimoto.com/EN/Bike_Kaw...mbo-15RCS-.htm |

Keep in mind with any brake upgrade to take your time and get used to the increase in stopping power. Best to do it in a very low or no traffic environment if possible.

I recommend that every time you change your pads, you service the calipers, he's my write-up to help you out. It should fix your initial problem, and keep your calipers in top working order.

I also recommend flush and fill with new brake fluid, also I'd go with 5.1DOT. No matter what kind of brake fluid you choose, always periodically flush and fill with new fluid. This is the one I use https://m.motul.com/ca/en-us/product...-1-brake-fluid Also inspect the brake lines, replace is needed, http://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Stainle..._lines_upgrade Quote:
On my 91 EX500 I have Spiegler, in orange to match that bike. Quote:
When it comes to safety items like brakes, when in doubt, throw them out, it's your safety in your hands, and is cheaper than a visit to the ER. Buy quality pads,I personally recommend EBC brand either the HH, or the Extreme HH. EBC full floating rotor, replace the OEM rubber line with a stainless steel braided brake line, cheaper than replacing them with OEM. On my 500 I have Spiegler line http://www.spieglerusa.com/brakes/cy...line-kits.html On my Ninja 250 i went with Venhill http://www.venhillusa.com/products.html With all that, it will stop on a dime, and leave you nine cents in change. look here http://ebcbrakes.com/products/motorcycle/ And also read this, http://www.ex-500.com/wiki/index.php...otors_and_Pads That should answer any questions you might have.
