Speedo out of whack?!!?
Hi there.
I started riding my 09 this Monday. 1100 miles on the clock. Today it sits there just shy of 1700. Anyways, I noticed that the speedo is off. By a LOT. In order to hang with traffic on 75 i always go 90 to a 100. That can't be right. I never do more than 85 in the car. I'm sure of it, as my old car's speedo ended at 85 So, here's another thing that freaks me out. 6th gear, 7k rpm = ? For the last week exactly 62 mph. Today? 50... WTF? Then 55, now 58 or so. What the hell is going on with this thing???? |

Use a gps to compare your mph. The speedo on the Ninjettes is usualy off but not by that much. If you don't have a gps then have a friend drive their car at a set speed and compare yours to theirs.

the CDI/tach issue is regarding changes in RPM:speed relationship without altering gearing.
Here's the link
