Replacing front EX250 TURN Signals w/ flush ZX6 ones?
Has anyone here replaced the stock front turn signals with the mount flush aftermarket ones made for the 2005+ ZX6 (Euro Turn Signals)?
Note these are not LEDs, so they should be bright. I know some cutting would be involved and covering the old turn signal location too. |

i have not tried it but it looks like a great idea. Looks much better than the KIA flush mounts.

That would look really nice but I don't know about cutting the fairing. That could go wrong in a hurry.

That blue 250 a shopped* photo or real?
cuz i've been looking to replace my front turn signals with zx6 ones. Or 2009-2010 er6n/650R type (all are about the same) They LOOK GREAT! IMO they look much BETTER then those proton flushmounts. Lets not forget the most important reason... those zx6 ones are much more visible 360 degrees than stock or proton's!!! Ill note also, after carefully looking over my 2009 650Rs rear turn signals... Im sure they would fit on my 250, in place of its stock ones! Only mod needed would be: after removing the 250 stock rear signals, you would have to make the hole in the bracket bigger for the 650s rears to fit into place, using the 2 screw holes. I could post a pic later, but its late and im off to bed! Ask Rage42, we talked this rear signal switch over, the other night during a ride we did! |

I photo-chopped it.. If I'm not mistaken the flush protons are LED and the lighting less visible then the stock OEM.... Hazard!
I'm planning on repainting my moto so some ABS plastic, ABS plastic cement, JB Weld and sandpaper will be ok. I'm going to order the turn sigs and start on this after I finish my Bi-Xenon HL mod. Last futzed with by FerociousNINJA; September 15th, 2010 at 11:16 AM. |

@ ScorpionNinja
Not yet. Working on the Bi-Xenon HL. Ran into some issues, once resolved I'll work on this. @ phatatonic STAY AWAY FROM THE L.E.D. TURN SIG LIGHTS. Stick with the incandescent lights for visibility reasons. Here is a search on Amazon: http://tinyurl.com/35eadrh -Smoke -Clear -Green -Amber |

I don't want to derail this thread, cause those zx6 signals would look sick on the 250, but I can't listen to people say the LED lights are not as bright as the stock bulbs. My bike monkey LED Tail light is WAY brighter than the stock tail light. My proton flushmounts have 12 LEDs in them set on strobe. At night, they are almost too bright to look at. They light up the entire side of the road when they flash at night and can be seen from the back or front of the bike. Just clearing it up. thank you

@phatatonic
They are the same as the ones that come on the zx14. @ Mike1357 I'm sure they are very visible at night how about in daylight and from all angles? Regarding the taillights I have the Shinto (ThaiNinjaRR) LED tail light and notice minimum improvement to the stock if any in daylight. This one has more LEDs then the Bike Monkey. If these LED were the 3rd generation ones (like the ones on the emergency vehicles) then there would be much brighter. I saw a black new-gen on 42nd and Vanderbilt (NYC, Monday, October 25th). I am so sure it had the ZX6-style flush turn-signals. The bike had something bungied to the rear seat.
If this is someone here, could you please confirm if you do have the flush signals? Thank you. |
