Headlight bulb keeps blowing

So.... My headlight keeps blowing. I don't know why and this is my daily driver

Any ideas? No blown fuses either, just 2 bulbs in the last 2 days. I haven't changed anything recently either.

Also, my high beam socket isn't connected to anything and just dangles. Could that be it?

But it's been dangling like that for a while and the bulbs just started blowing, right?

Mine blew my new bulb, I ended up having the harness backwards (at lest this what I guess it was). I had my black/yellow wire on the bottom post (it needs to be on top (toward windscreen)). Mine hasn't blown since I changed this.

Just for giggles... check the voltage at the plug while the bike is running.

For the record, H7 bulbs do not have polarity. Aaand, oils will make it explode, not just burn out!

As for bad bulbs.. It could be loose parts or missing dampers. If there's too much vibration, the filaments will break! Or you may have just gotten unlucky with the bulb you bought. Did you replace your bulb prior to this? Or had the one prior to this been in there for a while?

Does the bulb plug in snugly. I had to tighten my connectors some to help mine fit better.
