Bike has trouble starting

Recently, I have some trouble starting my bike. I had to press the Start button couple times before it fired up. This morning, I had it fired up, ran it a bit, stopped to drop a mail. When I came back, I had to press 20 times before it fired up again. Once it run, no problem though.

Any ideas ? Battery ? Spark Plugs ?

A little more info: Bike has been used regularly (at least 4 times a week), gas is almost full, oil is good, 7500 miles on it. Bike has been running perfectly before this happened. No recent mods.

When's the last time you adjusted the valves?

When you had trouble, did it start better with throttle or choke?

How hot was the engine when you had problems starting?

Have you touched your carbs at all?

I've never touch the carb. The valve has not been checked. It was 85 when I started it. When I pressed the Start button, just nothing happened, no sound, no click, nothing. After a couple times, it started like normal.

So, no electricity is reaching the starter?

Your button was just acting up on you. They do that sometimes.

You sure the kill switch was at the on position?

@Motofool: Exactly. But why did it come back after a couple presses ?
@choneofakind: If the bike started with the kill switch at off position, it'll be even weirder :P

I would access the back of the starting bottom and would test it making a bridge with some wire.
That would indicate if that switch is the problem or if you need continuing checking the starter.
