fairing rivets help needed

Hi all,

last weekend i took the fairing off my 08 to install frame sliders and oil change and noticed the rivets under the front were broken (2 out of the 4 or 6) and wanted to replace, since I dont have the bike with me at moment can anyone let me know the actual size as want to order some online before the weekend. ive seen some which are M8 but think maybe too big.. the larger ones at the very bottom of the fairing are ok just the ones near that clip the guard behind the wheel to the side fairing are stuffed..

cheers mate, i wasnt sure as thought maybe M6 not M8 but your link was to M7 ones.. i was so impatient i purchased 12 M6 for $4 from hong kong plus the ones you gave the link for .. as i brought my bike used some knuckle head also somehow lost the tread behind the small allen bolt near the front indicator and when tried undoing kept turning and then realised but put a small nut behind the fairing.. what a job on my own having to jam my hand under there with a small pair of pliers while then humbling around to feel where the allen bolt was to undo... next time there off going to have to also do something about that.. maybe glue the nut in place ?

thanks again

That's a rubber wellnut. They always rot and split in two on this bike. Get a windscreen kit that comes with several. There are 14 hidden all over the bike and most will be rotten exactly the same way. The only two that don't are the two exposed on your windscreen an they have a different part number even though they are the same size (which tells you that Kawasaki is perfectly aware of the issue).
