FS: 2009 Yamaha FZ6R White - NJ

For sale is my 09 FZ6R in White with just under 300 miles. The bike was always kept in the garage. I am the original owner and purchased it new from Mt. Holly Powersports.

The bike has OES frame sliders, Competition Werkes rear fender eliminator with matching front signals, Yamaha bubble tinted windscreen, Progrip tank pad, and Pro-tek bar ends. The bike was professionally lowered by EPM Performance using the Hyperpro lowering kit. I have the original front springs and rear shock spring.

Price Reduced Asking $4,8500 o/b/o. More pictures aviable upon request.

Great price for a new bike. That's a very good 2nd bike after getting off a Ninjette for someone... The next owner should take the decals off that bike and go all white.

Very good deal.

grn09segirl is a great seller, bought my 250 couple years back from her. Takes really good care of the bikes, you won't be disappointed with this one I'm sure.

Very good deal.

I originally sold the ninja cause I didn't get to ride her then of course one rainy day went to the Yamaha dealer and loved the fz6r. It is a nice upright 600 similar to the ninja just more power. It rides very nice but I get to ride it enough, even less then I got to ride the 250 .

You'd need to put 7,200mi on it in order to meet CA emissions

Hmmm.... I'm actually kinda interested in this
I'm in the Philly area. Debating between a Ninja 650R and the Yamaha FZ6R for my next bike.

This bike is a pretty damn good price. Unless you are planning on getting a 2012-2013 650, get this fz6r

Even though I only took her out a few times I love the way the FZ6R feels. I sat on the 650 before buying this one and I just liked the way it felt better. It is a nice straight up ride similar to the 250. Im about an hour away from Philly in Bayville, NJ. Let me know if you would like to come see it.

Also, just a suggestion but check with your insurance co. for prices before you buy. The FZ6R was much less for me on Rider then a 650.

What's your opinion on them? I was actually looking at the '09 650Rs. They seem to have all around decent reviews and work well as commuters.
I definitely love the newest 650s, but they're a bit out of my price range right now heh

I still really can't decide between the FZ6R and the 650(R).

Yeah. I've yet to sit on either, so that's something else I want to try.
Also I think I would like to see it. That's not too far away. Would you be free this weekend / Saturday? I should be, but I'll let you know if something comes up.

When I started looking for another bike to be my commuter I was mainly looking the low powered 600 class (sport not supersport) Not too many options, you've got the FZ6r, ninja 650 and sv 650. The pregen 650s felt very uninspiring, like, a slightly larger ninja 250. Nothing made me go wow or ooooh or man I want this bike! Then I found out about the fz6rs, very good looking bike and it felt different from the 250. It's also an I4 so the engine runs super smooth, not a big deal to me but for sure a perk. And then as I was getting ready to buy an fz6r, the ninja 2012 650s came out, in february lol.

Wow what a great bike, totally different from the previous one, completely redone, new frame new fairings new everything. The choice was pretty easy after that. Similar priced bikes but the new 650 looked cooler and had more features (and was on the costco program )

So in short
pregen 650, very meh, like another 250 with a 650 engine. Nothing exciting about the bike
fz6r, great looking bike, inline 4 but without the ridiculous amount of power
2012+ 650 super sexy + cool features

2012 650 > fz6r > pregen 650

Unless you are buying new, get this fz6r

Good stuff. I think I saw somewhere that you recently traded the 650 for a 1000? What was the reasoning there?

Yeah, I definitely don't like to buy new, ever. I feel like I throw away a big chunk of change in out-the-door depreciation

But man. I agree. The 2012 650's are beautiful. I especially love the gauges and new fairings. The only thing really drawing me to the old-gen 650s right now is the cheap price! Someone on craigs in the area is selling an '06 for $1500. Decent condition. But it's kinda ugly lol...

Damn that 06 is a deal and a half! So long as it runs and is not salvaged of course

When looking for a larger bike I sat on the 1000 and instantly knew I wanted it, but the dealer talked me out of it and told me a 650/fz6r would be much better. What I liked about the 1000 is that it was the most comfortable sportbike I've ever sat on, it fits me like a glove. So once I was talked out of a the n1k I continued looking at 650s and the fz6r. Decided on the fz6r and then changed my mind when the new ones came out

Lol. It actually is a deal though, based solely on bluebook value. But I think you've kinda changed my mind about the old-gen 650s now.

I'm not that big, only 5'10" and 150, so I think the 1000s would feel too big on me.

Ever consider the Z1000? I'm not too big on the naked look normally, but... that bike just is really eye-catching somehow.

And for some reason... one of the best naked renditions of a bike I've ever seen :O

But I digress back to this awesome FZ6R.

This is the best looking naked without the crazy service of a euro bike, and it gets 50mpg. Beat that.....

Yamaha FZ6... VERY nice look to it.. I like it!

I have to admit I do like Ducatis too, but really for me it's more of a love/hate relationship with them. Can't decide whether I love them or hate them.

In all honesty, how long can you ride this bike before getting tired/cramping up? I'm looking for a sport touring bike now, but this is such a deal, that I would hate to pass it up without looking into it!

Lol in all honesty, I can't exactly answer that question. I haven't put enough miles on the bike. The longest I have ever ridden is about an hour. But I know guy who take there's everywhere and have over 10,000 miles on there's. check out www.fz6r-forum.com. Great forum just like this one, maybe that can be more help. A bunch of guys on there use them for touring and have nice bags mounts on them.

This is a great deal! I just saw one of these for sale with a couple thousand miles on it and they wanted 6k for it. If I can just get rid of my 250r first.

I keep coming back to this thread to look at the bike. If you keep it around long enough, I will definitely be interested. I hope you can sell it though! GLWS

Agreed... this thing is spotless. Brand new. Great price considering the mileage and condition.

Unfortunately it was just out of my personal budget range or I definitely would have taken this over my 650.
