My New Obsession!

Well the tax return came in and I somehow convinced the wife that this beauty was a good idea. She is my new (to me), Honda CRF 450 Flat Track Race bike. I plan to start flat track racing later this year. I may also do some Supermoto with it for giggles. Sad to say it, but my Ninjette is going on the chopping block to help fund my race program. I can’t wait to get out and go roundly round left wise!

Very nice. I had a multi purpose crf450r also. Mine switched between dirt and supermoto. I had thought about getting a dirt track setup myself but the lower suspension of a dirt track bike is a pain in the ass to swap out and I would be using it for supermoto and dirt more often.

I figure I’ll take it to the kart tracks for giggles once I throw on the front brake. I’ll also give it a whirl on the local MX park vet tracks to try my hand at TT style riding. Lowered suspension felt great in the super hard dirt track. Should work well as long as I’m not trying to do doubles.

Nice! Hey, you may be the new Kenny Roberts or Gary Nixon.

Gofastturnleft!!!

If you ever find yourself in the DC area for the 4th of July, hit up the Barbara Fritchie flat track race... oldest motorcycle race in America! Definitely some of the most gnarly flat track I've ever seen (and heard). Nice bike, have fun!
