Please help. Price check on Ninja 250 Good Deal?!

Here are some pics.
I brought him down to 2500.
Its a 2010 250 with 8k miles. Only damage is those chips on the right side. is that a concern? also, what do I check for when buying? this is my first bike ever.

As it seems you've already bought the bike, it's not too bad of a deal at $2500.. I definitely wouldn't have paid $2800 though.. It's riding season here right now, so prices are generally a few hundred more than they would be in the off-season.. By the looks of the right main fairing, it was laid down at some point in time, but the damage isn't bad at all..

The mileage is a little on the higher side, but nothing to be overly concerned about as long as proper maintenance was done at the correct intervals..

Why does that look like crash damage and rubbing damage at the same time?

The chipped paint looks like the panels were forced together when something hit the bike.

But the rubbed sections above that don't fit any crash scenario I can think of, especially since some of the rubbing is on the upper part of the fairing. It looks like a bike cover was put on it and was rubbing against the paint.
