2015 Ninjette Rally -Deals gap April 18 to April 23

Let me start the ball rolling. I know its early. But im not sure we got good attendance this year. So lets really try to get this going and have a great large rally at the dragon in 2015! Who is with me. I plan on being there April 18 to April 25.

If you intend on going. Post up here!

can't know until closer to the date, it was unfortunate that I couldn't go this year but as it turned out I ended up taking my dad into foot surgery at the time I'd have been heading down anyway.

subbed for future reference

all i hear is alot of excuses

i didn't go to the rally either, but did manage to go there a few weeks earlier. But lets all put away the excuses and actually make it. Otherwise we are just poseurs.

As the rest are saying: I would love to attend but can't make any promises at this time. There is a special friend there I would like to visit.

Really depends on the winter...
Morning's start off about 30 and rise to about 50-60 (but it's a cold 60).
Not typically my cup of tea... I wait till mid may so my thin arse body don't freeze up!

There's a whole year to get rid of excuses. So long as I am not dead/injured or have totaled my bike by this date next year I will do my best to show up

that better?

There is also a whole year to come up with excuses not to ride!

I think one of the years we did a rally the most we got was like 15 riders. Which was cool to see so many riders on 250's.

But i think we can do better.

That was early Aug and we stayed at the dragon all 4 days.
Asheville trip we had like 6-8???

Anyway, April is too early, it can be cold here and snow on dragon and skyway. For those who may have to come a few states away to get here, the cold will be worse...

I'd say Mid June the best time for numbers showing up.

I agree, April is too early. I'd vote for sometime in May/June or September/October.

I would be interested in going, but as some people have said April is too early for me.

We still have snow on the ground by then.

The bike didn't even come out of the shed until mid April this year.

My buddy who rides a 750, possibly a 1000 by that time really wants to see the tail of the dragon etc. Would it be cool if he joined? Would be nice to be able to save money on trailering the bikes out there if I can bring him. I'm not riding across the breadbasket on the 250 in full-leathers again...

We might trailer out if everybody's OK with the bigger bike joining. Want a spot? You ride to Colorado and we take you the rest of the way?

I would have no problems with anyone joining. Sure its fun seeing a bunch of Ninjettes but what fun is it to exclude anyone?

Its not really the ride, its more the time. If I have the time, I'm cool with riding there (though I could shadow you guys in the truck).

Course I say that now, lemme do a cross country ride before commiting to any further ones! LOL

Maybe some of the locals can show us some new roads down there?

What are some good places to stay? There is a biker campground that is pretty cheap, and i plan on staying there instead of a hotel.

But hotels in Robinsville are very clean and comfortable, but usually 60-70$ a night.

I like Ironhorse. Stayed there many times and they are great to us when we have our V-Strom gathering every year.
