Why Love One But Eat The Other

I'm guessing because Fido isn't made out of delicious bacon.

Pigs are amazing. Pork chops, bacon, ham. It is magic, really.

Then you've never had a pig as a pet. They are more intelligent than dogs, they have hair so they don't shed, they don't bark at every damn thing that moves, they are clean animals (don't let the stereotypes fool you), they can be taught to do tricks just like dogs, and they are cannibals. Seriously my pig LOVES bacon and ham. Go figure. Much cooler than a damn irritating dog. I think the Vietnamese have the right idea.

@Xoulrath I think you get the wrong breed of dogs. I have had a Border Collie in my life since I was 2. I am only 20 now, but our first border collie was my best friend growing up! I loved him so much and he was very, very smart. Our second BC isn't quite as good of a dog as our first but she is still sweet.

Aren't pigs dangerous as pets??

Honestly Jono I'm just not an animal person. My ex-wife wanted the pig, and though I loved him, I would not have had a pig had it not been for her.

So it doesn't matter what type of animal, or what breed. You know the people who don't want their own kids but they have no problem spending a bit of time with others kids so long as they can give them back? That's me with animals. I like them but it's worse than taking care of a child in my eyes.

Where did you hear this one? How is a pig dangerous as a pet? It's not like a pet pig ever saved a family from fire or anything:

Nor did a pig ever get help for their owner when they were having a heart attack:

would you prefer having a calm life without struggle in which eventually you're quickly and relatively humanely killed then processed, or would you rather live a constant struggle to survive until one day you're brutally murdered and eaten while still partially alive. theres no mercy or compassion in the wild. give me my bacon.

This is what all of them "green" people tend to forget. Or simply do not know. I just wonder who had the money to put up a poster that dumb.

It reminds me of a time when some sort of environmentaly friendly group here was protesting against gasoline engines, and promoted walking and public transport instead. They had some sort of stage, or whatever, and behind it, of course, a diesel genset to power up the show.

Unfortunately in China I did. It's one of their staple foods that I did not like whatsoever. It definitely did not taste like chicken.

Reminds me of when I saw two dogs that had adopted and were raising some orphaned baby pigs. Probably because their parents became a tasty meal.
