I'm worried that I'll leave scratches inside, which I know we want to avoid as well. Which is worse?
Somehow I didn't see your initial post.

Deburring them won't leave scratches. You could probably use a razor blade to clean it up or leave it as is.

Washed them the other day and used Detailing spray as a quick touch up to the wax.

Walked out to the garage…. Yup still looks good

Maybe I will suite up and got for a ride

Adjusted my rearsets from highest and farthest back to lowest and farthest back on the street bike. Back before she was a commuter she was setup just as aggressive as the racebike, but now I figured I could really use the extra legroom on the way to work.

I really like the SV Racing rearsets but I don't like that I can't really adjust the pedals down where I like them. The shifter side strikes the spring mount on the frame when I mount it as low as I like.

Oh well, I normally ride balls on the pegs so I think I would rather have the legroom and just have to move my foot a bit more when I use the shifter and rear brake

yeah ok no dice on the ride in this morning. Going to have to find another solution. The extra legroom needs to stay, very noticeable and worth it, the lever position has to change.

Did the first oil and filter change (filter bolt was tightened way too much by the factory - it was a real beech to loosen ). Gave my Ninja 2 liters of the best -

Talked with her doctor. She seems to be doing well, though the valve cover gasket was leaking so that's been replaced.

My baby will be home Saturday (good things she's at the hospital now, there be some evil looking storms parked over us right now!)

Pulled track fairings to be sanded and prepped for 636. Two layers of satin white done and to be followed up with pearl mist as soon as the sunshine pokes it's head back out.

Jette got a new double bubble smoked windscreen and is about to be tabbed again!

Took some measurements between the 89 cam and a later one (94-ish), Don't have the measurements with me but the lift is the same between the two, duration may be a little longer on the 89 but I don't have the gear handy to measure it.

Got the the rockers and cams installed and torqued, have a kids-free day monday and wife works a 12 sunday night so I'll be more or less left to my own devices so this thing may be running Monday night

I think it was today, but I took a bunch of spare change to the store to exchange for an Amazon gift card, since the banks and credit unions charge percentage fees if I want to deposit them. All geared up, on the way back to my motorcycle, I noticed a black SUV slowing, then stopping, then very slowly reversing. A runaway cart was in front of her, and so I sprinted to catch it, lest it hit her SUV or some parked vehicle. I'm sure I looked like a massive goof, but it earned a big grin and a thumbs up from the lady in the SUV.

Finally swapped out my busted looking clutch lever and bled the brakes. Got some speed bleeders to install but they gave me the wrong size.

New mod done during the service visit, 15t sprocket.

Holy cow! What a difference! It no longer feels like I am wringing my poor girl's neck to maintain freeway speeds. Fact I found myself over shifting due to habit and kept having to downshift.

I think the all black setup aesthetically looks better on my solid black bike than the silver stock, too.

well, I picked up finesse's totaled pregen yesterday and spent a good deal of time since then getting my hands filthy swapping parts and setting it up to my liking for the track/aggressive street riding

I disassembled the bike then took the frame from my old pregen and swapped pretty much everything over to it including but not limited to: the engine, the exhaust, the seat, some of the fairings, the rear turn signal package (integrated, very nice) the handlebars (for now) airbox, wheels w/new pirelli sport demon tires, the seat, etc.

Both bikes had damaged fairings here and there so I used the best from each so the bike looks like a black and green mess hahaha kinda looks cool but I think I'll add some green to the main black fairing to make it work a bit better or switch it out with a track front fairing.

Engine's running strong but there is a slight ticking noise at idle, it sounds like the cam chain tensioner but the previous owner specifically said that it wasn't so I'll need to look into it at some point to see if it's a potential problem down the line.

I only need 4 things before it's ready to hit the track and be street legal again down the line.
1. clip on bars to lower the bars
2. rearset adjuster to raise the pegs
3. shorter dogbones because I feel that the tail is too low
4. rear shock from a gsxr600 because the shocks I have for it are entirely too soft and vague

Pulled up to a store for a quick stop and came out to my bike marking its territory. Laid down to check and see green drops coming out of the overflow hose. i was already hot and tired and now annoyed at having to check on the coolant. Reservoir was full so rode home.

Temp stayed at 178*-180* until I pulled into my street and my speed dropped to 15MPH. Temp spiked to 246*, I could feel the coolant boiling, and as soon as I stopped a green tinted water pooled out from under the bike.

Joy....

Damn that doesn't sound good. Fan connections good? Same thing for thermostat as well. Perhaps the shop didn't plug in stuff properly.
