For the girls: bike purses

Anybody here have a favorite purse to use while riding?

Here's the one I got recently:
http://www.ebags.com/product/r-and-r...uctid=10213459

It's very comfortable to wear crossbody on the bike. It's large enough to hold almost anything I need, but without risking it being heavy enough to be a bother. I can pretty much keep all the day-to-day items I need no problem.
The flap is magnetic which makes closing it with a glove a bit easier, and it's got zipper compartments for anything lightweight to prevent fly aways.
On the downside it's a very soft leather, I think in an accident it'd be pretty easy to tear up, unfortunately.

I just use a Chrome Citizen messenger bag with nice, reflective paneling on it. I know it's not a purse, but it's pretty darn water/weatherproof, and can hold most things I need for work and university in it.

*googles* Interesting bag, personally I'd be worried about the size -- if I need to carry that much I'd toss on my backpack.

It actually isn't bad. The belt-cinching system allow you to adjust it based on load, and it holds the load across the body in a way that I find rather comfortable. I've gone grocery shopping with it, and brought back a couple gallons of orange juice without really noticing the weight difference.

My wife uses saddle bags or I normally just throw everything we need in my backpack. My old Jansport is starting to get pretty worn though, looking at maybe an Ogio

I just use a backpack if I need to carry stuff that won't fit in my pockets. Never owned a purse in my life and that probably won't change any time soon

I am apparently alone in my purse wielding ways! I love my backpack but I find that when I get off the bike it's not as convenient and it's super easy to overload if I'm not careful. Might be the side effect of my backpack being a freaking tent though -- http://www.targus.com/us/productdetail.aspx?sku=txl617
It's bigger than I am :P

I have definitely ridden with these suckers (one half crammed in the other because they're semi-rigid and maintain their shape) in this backpack with room to spare. Would probably be too heavy to lift by the time I can stuff it to capacity. Also have a Icon Squad 2 backpack. I like to haul around too much stuff and being prepared to haul around too much stuff

Maybe you might want to look into a small tank bag/tail bag?

I know I am not a girl, but I just had to post what I use. It is a replica mark VII WW2 british gas mask bag, or as more commonly known: The Indiana Jones bag.

Yea, I'm with Rebecca: not really a purse kind of gal, so I just carry by backpack.

I carry a green canvas bag that is pretty similar to that one. Not on the bike, just 'around' sometimes.

On the bike, I end up using my Adidas soccer backpack. It has a clip inside for my house keys, good water resistant liner and a flannel lined outer zip-pocket for sunglasses or my phone.

I use this small backpack/purse on my motorcycle. Not too big and it's great for converting to purse or leaving as a backpack.
