Dang, that's cold.

So up here in the nations (Canada) capital it looks like a beautiful day, the sun is shining, the air is crisp. Perfect I think, I'll take the bike out for a quick spin around the block. I put a t-shirt/sweatshirt/leather jacket, plus I got my new kneed pads for my legs, so I should be all right.

Take the bike out for a quick spir around the neighborhood, it's cool but nothing too bad. Then I decided to take it out onto a highway (80kmp/50mph). DANG! That was cold. My covered parts were fine, but the underside of my chin, neck and ears were freezing. (Don't know why my ears were cold, I had my helmet on, but everytime I turned my head they tingled). Not to mention the insides of my legs where they were gripping the cold metal of the tank.

Go home, looked up how cold it was outside and -4C/24.8F.

So, who's beat that?

My record is 16th but this past winter was 17F. This is to work at 6:30am at 60mph for 5th miles plus another 5 minutes on side streets. The best trick I found is not to have enough any exposed skin and use ski gloves. The hardest part at this template is starting the 09 ninja. It stalls 5 to 7 times before it will stay idelling.

Dang. That's like -8.5C. You sir, win.

Unless of course you used heated gear. Then that's cheating

CC I have never met you and honestly don't know you, but I strongly dislike you (only for being on the beach. nothing personal ) Not even fair.

Chris, I only rub it in for people like you, and it's personal.

I lived in the North East for years so I love to bring up the temperature here as often as is needed.

I do visit the New England states every few months just so I don't forget how lucky I really am.

I saw that too! Funny.

I guess there's not much concern about someone stealing you scoot when it's only 24 degrees. That's an unexpected plus

-14.8F, -26C for 35 minutes, 10 minutes of which was above 60mph, which I think brought the windchill down to like -45F, which I think is -42C.... But I didn't enjoy it, no electrics (well, heated grips). I drove a car the 4 weeks prior to that date and the 4 after it as well.... I just like to say that I did it...

Edit: Never again... Unless it's colder of course, and I can set a new personal best...
