it seems like the handlebars on the 250 sit so much higher and the ones on the other bike sit so low and are totally different kind...just wondering do they make these kind for the 250, most bikes i see have that style of handlebars......sorry bout useing someone elses bike pic, just needed it for reference, by the way nice a$$ bike

there are many forms of hand controls on motorcycles - from bolt on riser bars ala 250, to handlebars like cruisers, or in the case of the 6R posted above clip ons. If you would like more information about adding clip ons to a 250R, the search button in a really really good place to start. Lots of good threads on the subject. I recommend the Woodcraft clip on thread to start.

The ninjette, both the pre-gen and new-gen, has a very "standard" riding position with the bars quite a bit higher than the seat. The new-gen has more sportbike-like styling everywhere else, so the handlebars do look a little different compared to supersport bikes that have clip-ons quite low, sometimes almost even with the seat in order to promote a more tucked in riding position and allow the rider to put a little more weight on the front end.

No worries. Thanks

I like the riding position of my 6r so much more than my 250.

With the woodcrafts you can get the 250 bars down and foward about 1 1/2" , a little better but not close to a supersport

My old bike with the woodcraft's

I believe the 650 has very high handlebars. I suppose it is more of a sports touring bike I guess. I think the 250 is somewhere between touring height and supersport height. I'm 6-1 and I can tuck all the way, but I have to sit as far back in the seat as possible.

yeah, it seems the 650r has even higher bars than the 250. seems a bit strange seeing people riding the 650. looks like a sports bike, but the riders are basically sitting upright. it has a more upright position than my bike and mine is a sport tourer.
