Fixed my warped front rotor
Went for it. Bought the Braking rotor. Rebuilt the master, caliper, and installed a direct inlet banjoless line. I had so, so much brake drag before, gone now. I never would have thought the rotor could be so dished and still feel so smooth at the lever.

Yeah I had this theory about flipping the rotor at set interval like oil changes so see if it would start warping the other way and straiten it sell out. But then I modded the front end to run an R6 front wheel and R1 rotor so I haven't had a chance to test my theory.

where did you get the rotor from? I have liked this rotor and thought about buying it many times, but now most places are out of them.
does the brake like fit well? i.e. no slack or excess? What about the MC fitting, are you using a radial MC or the stock one? I am thinking about getting a brembo master but I would have to buy a new line anyways.... |

If you get a Brembo radial I believe the banjo fitting faces the ground so you'd need a line with a 90 degree bend int the top fitting.

At my races it is. They allowed single rotor bikes to upgrade to a floating rotor as long as it's the same diameter.

Yes, it is legal for CVMA supersport. I was the one that brought on the request on the SCM forum.
As for the gixxer rear shock mod...I think they are still working on it.

I didn't want to do the GSXR swap when I got the ninja. I tried it with my SV back in the day and it shagged out tires too quick. I ponied up for the JRI and I'm glad I did. I think with suspension, at least now, I won't cut corners for my race bikes. You end up spending more on tires trying to fix a bad setup than if you just have a pro build you a proper shock that doesn't shred rubber

I have huge vibrations when braking, but I don't want to spend the $200 on a new disk.
How much time and money did this cost you?

Use a crescent wrench. Lift the front off the ground. Spin the wheel. Use the wrench to bend the disk in the spots where it rubs and true the disk. It should work temporarily. That's how I true the disks on my MTB. I get that I'm used to a smaller example, but the idea is the same.

Just get a different rotor. Why put your life at risk for $100-$300 dollars?
