No lights

Odd problem, i have no lights

i have power, bike runs fine, i have turn signals, instrument lights, brake lights and everything, pulled the bulbs and they are not blown, also checked the fuse, it was not blow but replaced it anyway

Neither light works

only thing that has occurred since the lights not working is a stator replacement, but i dont see how this could effect the lights only without effecting the rest of the electrical system

i dont have a voltmeter on me but should have one next monday

anyone have any idea?

went ahead and hooked up the lights to my car battery to make sure they work, they do

so it is something on the bike...again...checked all the fuses, i tried following the wires back from the lights, but it is tough as i dont want to unwrap all the wires, i have noticed that both lights uses a black w/ yellow stripe as a wire and there isnt even a black and yellow lined wire coming out of the fuse box

ok ready for more weirdness?

got the bike started, took some wire and hooked up one of the lights directly to the battery, after doing that both light lights came on

i removed the wires and both lights stayed on, i turned the bike off via the starter switch and the lights stayed on as they should, unfortunatly i didnt have enough battery power (due to repeated turning on and off) to start the bike again to see if the lights go out again

sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, what the hell does all this mean? i know the starter switch pulls the lights off to give more power to the starter, so is it something to do with the starter switch?

there is a relay that switched the headlights on after you tip off the starter. Prob bad relay.

^ This. There are two on the back side of the battery. One for light, the other is the starter relay.
