Face shield not closing all the way?
My helmet arrived today, and the face shield doesn't seem to be closing all the way. Maybe it is closed all of the way, but I'm to much of a n00b to know.
Here is the position of the pin with it closed. Shouldn't it be all the way in the groove? Heres the left side: The right side seems to be closer, but not all the way there: And what is the purpose of these screws? I see where they go, but why would I ever need them? Just spares? |

Spares and try readjusting the face shield mounting plates by loosening the screws and moving it around till the face shield just touches the gasket. Seems like its off slightly and making it get hung up somewhere.

I think one of the screws are under the twist grip too if I remember correctly, so you have to very carefully pry it off. But yeah it should move around a bit.

Is there a lever on the left side of the helmet that cracks it open for ventilation?
If so it could be rotated wrong

My EXO-500 does the same thing. I'd crack it open with the lever and have to push up on the right side of the visor to get it evenly cracked.

Make sure that the visor is properly snapped into the quick release system.
When I take my visor off to clean it, if I don't get both sides snapped back in fully, they don't close the same way and the visor isn't symmetrical and whistles funny while riding. Open the visor fully, twist the release on both sides, take the visor off, then re-install it and make sure to fully snap it in on both sides. I know there's youtube videos from STG that demonstrate how to use the release system if you need help with that. |

Maybe its faulty (either the face shield or mounting plates) then could you exchange it? I'd be more help if I had my old exo-400 here but that is many miles away from me. I can't really see any reason why it would be screwed up like that, maybe pictures a bit farther out would help.
