Dynojet 2193.001? MAIN JET 108?

Read Post #10

I am working on my bike this winter (mostly my brothers bike and my backup bike)
after researching the jet kits i decided to go with the Dynojet with a 108 main jet
I bought a Dynojet jet kit because it seemed like they gave more power vs factory pro
my but my kit did not come with the 108 only up to 100.
I was thinking of getting the 106 108 and 110 main jets for testing
but i wasn't sure if it was a good idea since i am going out of the way of Dynojet kit.
I wanted to know if everyone who installed a Dynojet had to do the same. or did i get the wrong kit.

BTW has anyone put on the RC-1822 pod yet

i have not finished assembling the bike back together so i haven't tried the 100 main jet (to cold anyways to ride)

Right now

No, a 108 will probably work about right. I have the airbox and snorkel removed with pods and a full yoshi exhaust on mine and I'm running Dyno 106's. The 100 was too small and I was actually having engine problems at freeway speeds where my power would literally cut in half. I'm at 2200 feet typically and the temperatures this time of year are around 50-60 degrees during the day. I switched from 104's that I was running during the summer.

As far as the future Iridiums are concerned, I've been told that they're virtually no better than the stock CR7E's. I considered purchasing them as well, but was turned around by a member on this forum somewhere lol. Just trying to save ya a buck or two, if you choose to get them though, please do let me know if you notice a legitimate difference! I may consider getting a set on the next valve inspection at 15,000

If you're looking to ditch the air box, look at the K&N R-0990 filter.

It has 2 openings that fit right onto the carbs. You'll only need 1) R-0990 at about $30, where you'll need 2) RC-1822's at about $50 each. From what I've read the R-0990 is also easier to use; the individual 1822's tend to pop one off when you install the other.

On a GRAND technical scale, wouldn't the two individuals allow more air to easily pass through though since there would be a greater surface area of filter material? I'm totally with you on the ease of installation and maybe even price (haven't had to buy mine, mine came with K&N pods similar to the ones he's talking about, mine are just without the chrome so I'd imagine mine were cheaper, I'll look up the exact filters in a bit) Popping off is a problem I had as well, but just as long as they're seated properly and the hose clamps are fitted correctly (not outside of the groove) I haven't had them slip off. Just keep an eye on that tiny filter that goes underneath the air filters (not sure what it is) that one tends to fall off pretty easy when you're working on the carbs or engine, though I've never had it fall off on a ride yet. Chroneofakind is definitely right though, if you want it easier, go with the single filter. It'll save you the hassle of having to have those dirty little things perfectly seated so they don't pop off while you're tightening the hose clamps.

@Scattcatt haha I guess if you're going to get really technical about this, the individual pod probably have a slightly higher ratio of filter surface area per carb. But I doubt there's any noticeable difference

ya it look like i am going to keep the K&N R-0990
btw the RC-1822 looks like it comes with 2 filters
http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?Prod=RC-1822

I just order the main jets
106, 108, 110
form http://www.highlifter.com
I looked like the only place i could get the jets from.

I also got the Emission Block Off i just wish they had it in red
http://www.amazon.com/Kawasaki-Ninja...5574577&sr=8-1

now i just have to wait for it.

dose anyone use a (Dynojet) 110 jet with RC-1822
or even a 110 jet with anything.

and what is the comparison to they fuel injected system.
not going to buy one just wanted to know.

i wish Dynojet offered a stage 3 kit that include the above jets
btw i still haven't tried the 100 i am just going to wait for the 108.
it is to dam cold today to work even in my garage (no heater). i will probably find out next week how it runs.

My stage 2 from Area P came w the jets your looking for, which I probably won't be using (keeping stock airbox). I was too tired to post last night, after driving all day, but you can have the jets if you want. I just wouldn't be able to ship until Thursday (I'm in Boynton Beach FL for work now)

Thank for the offer but i already ordered them. If something happens to the order i might take you up on that offer but for now i will just wait for them.
btw what jets do you have in your carb.

after getting the K&N stock replacement filter and removed the snorkel i could even ride the bike. wouldn't rev past 3000.

so i just went all out.

highlifter counterfeits

Well This blows
I just got my jets in today from http://www.highlifter.com/
and guess what, they are counterfeit
at least the ones i really wanted are, the 108's
http://www.dynojet.com/whats_new/Pre...OffJetKits.pdf
(my numbers are below hole) on 3 jets: 2x108 and 1x110 and none of the parts were in sealed bags, just one ziplock bag.
what suck is this is the only place i see to get the individual jets.

It makes me wonder the how accurate the jet database is. has anyone noticed the numbers orientation on the jets on there bike.

not counterfeit

Wow, that totally sucks! Do you at least have the right jets now? I wasn't really clear on that from you last message... If there's still a problem, I live in North Las Vegas, so the Dynojet headquarters is literally up the street. I could probably mail you a set.

That sucks. I've read about that before but I completely forgot to mention that you should always buy jets from a reputable place, like the manufacturer.

Can you return the counterfeit jets and buy the proper ones from Dynojet themselves?

I would of bought them from Dynojet web site but i didn't see the individual jets there, doing a search for "DYNOJET MAIN JET 108" pops up highlifter. Do you know of a reputable dealer that sell those jets.

Go to your local dealership. They'll likely have them in stock, or willing to order them for you. I know State 8 (the closest dealer to me) sells and stocks DynoJet jets.

There is a difference with Iridium plugs. Normal plugs have to be regapped every 20,000 miles and replaced every 75,000. Iridiums can go about 50,000 before you need to regap and will outlast your bike. It's a conviniece thing, not a performance thing.

ok i called Dynojet and talked to them about the jets
highlifter.com is a authorized dealer of Dynojet
they said that there is no chance that they are selling fake jets.
the reason they is that some of the number are on the bottom is that they come from a different manufactures.
and that is how they differ from the two manufactures.
sorry about the claim. there pdf made it look like the jets i got were fake.
after hearing this i am going to install them now.

Question: What led you to believe they were fakes? The fact that they came in a zip lock bag or something?
