looseness of switches on handlebar...

this really isnt a big deal to me but more curious... the turn signal unit and kill switch unit on the handlebars moves.. not a lot, not while riding, but if i held it and gave it a little pressure, i can rotate it around the handlebar. i did try to tighten the screws, but i dont want to overtighten them and regret it later since it doesnt bug me that much. lets just say its snug, but not immovable.

How far can they rotate? Mine had/have a small amount of wiggleness (if that's a word) to them, but there's a tab on the rear plastic piece of each housing that indexes into a hole in the handle bar to keep it from rotating. I have intentionally removed these tabs on other bikes so I could rotate the controls on fixed handle bars and put friction tape around the bars then clamped the controls around that.
