speedometer compatibility

hi all, i am need to motorcycle electronic, and want to do some mod on my 2010 ninja 250, and what to change the speedometer / the gauge, i stumble a lot of different gauges out there but don't know which one is compatible to my bike. ( also don't want to spend so much on it)

Search for the Koso gauge threads for ideas. We have a mechanical speedometer, rare for modern bikes, so there almost always has to be a converter to allow it to work with a more typical electronic dash.

they are all koso rx1n or rx2 and they are quite expensive,
where i am looking at some cheaper one like db01 or vapor speedometer where is around $150 or so but just don't know if they are compatible with ninja 250

you could always find the schematics of the wiring harness and make your own....

so, what's wrong with the stock speedo (other than being 10% off )? and of all the shortcomings of the 250R, that's what you're looking to fix first?

I assumed style and other features (multiple trip meters, temp gauge, etc)
