Unhappy Goodbye Red Bike.

Tomorrow I'm going to clean up and drop off the 250 with its new owner. I ended up selling it to a friend.

I rode it over so she could test ride it. Took the long way around on the way back home. I'm actually going to miss that slow ass bike. I embarrassed and surprised a whole lot of street squids with that thing.

My friend said to me, "That's your first street bike right?" "Yup." "It may not happen today but tomorrow you're going to miss street riding every time you see someone ride by."

I feel all sad getting rid of my bike now.

Sorry for your loss. You did not explain if you sold it because you are upgrading or if you are done riding for a while. We understand if you want to keep your reasons private but if you can share let us know the whys and whats, regarding the sale of your prize machine. I hope you are able to get a new bike soon because it sounds like you really enjoy riding.

It's bittersweet to sell a vehicle sometimes; you have the happy memories and experiences with it but you are excited about the potential of your new wheels. For the really memorable vehicles I try to save something from our time together; magazine articles, pictures, sales brochures, other mementos. I have thought about starting a collection of models of my favorites; my Jaguars, the Vision, the 300ZX.

I have a buyer for your bike by the way. I'll pm you the info. I got four phone calls about buying it while the new owner was test riding it.

I'll eventually get another street bike. For the past couple months I really haven't been riding anything at all.

To be completely honest I most likely won't miss the ninjette so much. It was a cool looking bike and made a good learning platform. It was riding a motorcycle that made me realize I miss riding for fun in the street and the community.

I won't be buying a street bike for at least 4 or 5 months from now anyway. I'm going to be beating on my dirt though. Just so I remember how to ride.

Great to hear you will be returning to the street after a short break! I really like to encourage people to ride in the dirt. I have learned soo much off road that works well on road. You get used to the bike moving around under you and there is no safer place to practice wheelies!! Best of luck and we hope to see you and your new ride back here soon!

If I manage to keep my two bikes till their death ( :'( ) I'll keep them in my home. Maybe just the frame. Make a table with the engine...you get the point.
